Invest in HALAL STREET > WALL STREET - Here Is Why:
Think about it – when you invest in a big corporation, who do you really know? Probably no one. But when you invest in a small business in your neighborhood, you're putting your money towards something you can see and touch.

Assalamu Alaikum dear readers,
Fuad here 🙋🏻♂️,
In today's world, it is easy to get caught up in the frenzy of Wall Street stocks and global markets. However, there are a lot of influencers that are pushing wall street investments like shares and stocks and I would like to share my piece on it
Think about it – when you invest in a big corporation, who do you really know? Probably no one. But when you invest in a small business in your neighborhood, you're putting your money towards something you can see and touch. You're helping a family-owned business grow and succeed, and maybe even creating jobs for your fellow Muslims.
As Muslims, we are encouraged to invest in our own communities and businesses as a means of supporting each other and promoting brotherhood.
Principle applies really if your Muslim or not…
These Small businesses are the backbone of our neighbourhoods, and by investing in them, we are not only supporting our own community members but also promote a more sustainable and stable local economy.

The benefits of investing in small businesses are numerous.
For one, it provides an opportunity to support and uplift our community members who may be struggling to make ends meet.
Secondly, it creates a sense of ownership and pride in our neighbourhoods, which in turn can lead to a greater sense of community engagement and civic responsibility.
Finally, investing in local businesses can help to create jobs, which in turn can help to reduce poverty and improve the economic well-being of the entire community.
While investing in the stock market can offer potentially high returns, it also comes with a great deal of risk and uncertainty.
Small businesses, on the other hand, may not offer the same “perceived value” of returns and it is more illiquid, but they are often more stable and predictable.
By investing in these businesses, we are making a long-term investment in our own community and promoting the growth and development of our own people.
In addition to the financial benefits, investing in small businesses also offers an opportunity to build brotherhood within our own community. By working together to support and promote each other's businesses, we can create a strong sense of camaraderie and cooperation, which can lead to a more harmonious and cohesive community.

Tips on what to look for when investing in these businesses:
Track record! I personally don’t like start ups, I would rather invest into something that already has momentum and just needs a little capital injection 😉
Great demand for the product or service: look at the size of the market and see if the industry itself is growing or shrinking longterm-wise, not ideal thing you can do is invest into a shrinking industry
Great product or Service: As in the business offers a superior product or service as it will scale pretty easily with some capital behind it!
Has the ability to go national or global: This is not a must but it is a really good bonus as you can scale and improve profits with less friction if local markets gets tight.
Of course, investing in small businesses is not without its risks, and it is important to do your due diligence and research before investing any money. You should also be sure to invest only what you can afford to lose, as there is always a risk of business failure.
In conclusion, as Muslims or ethical entrepreneurs we have a duty to support and uplift our own communities, and one of the best ways to do this is by investing in small businesses.
By doing so, we can promote a sense of ownership and pride in our neighborhoods, create jobs, and build brotherhood within our own community.
So next time you're thinking about putting your money into the stock market, consider investing in a small business in your own community instead. Not only can you potentially earn a return on your investment, but you can also contribute to the growth and success of your fellow Muslims. And who knows, maybe you'll even make some new friends along the way.
